Harvester, I'm a little puzzled as to how you know Savannah's exact motivation for shooting herself, and that it was "painful" (which is an ambiguous term in the context), given that she went into a coma and then died. --Calieber 20:59, 21 Oct 2003 (UTC)

I'm a member of Moral Majority and I falsely state unfounded stuff to propel my tainted opinions and disgust for the adult industry. How's that for a reason? Harvester 00:07, 11 Nov 2003 (UTC)
I'm only asking. I wasn't about to remove it without being sure she didn't leave a note, say. --Charles A. L. 17:09, Nov 12, 2003 (UTC)
You could atleast have kept the facts. As it is now. Harvester 18:36, 14 Nov 2003 (UTC)

There's no such thing as a 45 Magnum revolver... maybe a 44 Magnum revolver or .45 ACP pistol? JidGom 13:53, 4 Jan 2004 (UTC)

This page is the result of merging Savannah (film actress) and Savannah (porn star). Please so those pages for the original edit history and contributing authors to this page. Pete/Pcb21 (talk) 07:56, 13 Jan 2004 (UTC)

The aforementioned articles have now been merged. Olessi 20:22, 7 May 2007 (UTC)

It is highly unlikely she used a ".45 Magnum revolver" since such a gun does not exist, or if it does, is something owned by gun afficianados. Was it a .45 caliber automatic? A .44 Magnum revolver? If the latter, then Savannah chose the big bad Dirty Harry gun? Someone needs to track down the exact kind of gun...so I'm removing the caliber reference. Afabbro 15:07, 6 July 2006 (UTC)

  • r.a.m.e. FAQ says 9mm - changed.

Expanded on her death a bit more. This is my first wiki edit, so please, any critism is welcome. --Threatis 7 July 2005 06:37 (UTC)

Facts, please

  • For an actress that IMDB cites as probably one of the most beautiful porn actresses ever, the career part of the article is tremendously lacking in references. Please, someone put in proper citings. (Aditya Kabir 15:41, 3 September 2006 (UTC))

Facts, please part II

I have tried to verify the portion regarding the Tom Petty video and have actually found numerous pages that insist that the actress is NOT Shannon, but rather a "Wish Foley", who may or may not be alive and well in Nashville as of 2005.

That's not Savannah in the video. It should be removed. Freshacconci 19:01, 21 December 2006 (UTC)

Filmography

I found what appears to be an exhaustive list of Savanah's films in the IAFD -International Adult Film Database and another in the AFDB- Adult Film Data Base. Both have links on the page, I suggest future editors actually check them thouroughly, especially as the earliest films listed are 1987 and up, not 1990.

"Actress"?

Just out of curiousity, what makes Savannah an actress and Christian Fox a porn star? She may have been in a few terrible made-for-cable dramas, but so too has Jenna Jameson, and I don't see anyone listing her as an "actress" (rather than "a porn star who has also acted in some features"). --70.108.116.231 14:51, 23 September 2006 (UTC)

Real name

Her birth name is Shannon Wilsey and her name at the time of her death was Shannon Wilsey: [1] Even if her natural father's name was Longoria and there does not seem to be documentation of that her legal name is Wilsey and that is how it should be listed on Wikipedia.

  • Per WP:BLP, I've removed this name from the article, as we have no reliable source for it. Valrith 21:48, 2 October 2007 (UTC)
    • The Social Security index is a primary source, and Valrith is right, we can't use it for controversial things like birth names of people known by aliases. That said, there are some excellent secondary sources, namely 3 LA Times articles, and a good one that archives them, "Fallen Angel", which is a fan memorial site, but one that was praised in Hustler, which makes it a "recognized authority" per WP:EL#Links normally to be avoided #12. I'll put them in. --AnonEMouse (squeak) 22:21, 2 October 2007 (UTC)
