Separate Tournaments[edit]

There are many things wrong with this page. The King's Cup is separate from the Crown Prince's Cup. Also, the new King Cup of Champions is a continuation of the long-paused King's Cup.

I suggest merging the King's Cup with the King Cup of Champions page, and maybe explain the old tournament in the history section? MedStudentIMAMU (talk) 20:25, 28 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]

The King's Cup and King's Cup of Champions (in it's early years) appear to be different....not until last season has the Champions Cup been opened up to all teams rather than top eight. I think you are right that they should be merged together....just need to write about the era of 2007 to 2013 when the Kings Cup of Champions was effectively different. They're not different tournaments, just different formats. That's very common in Saudi football. League format has been changed almost 6 times since its first inception, and there's basically all sorts of short-lived competitions that keep changing and returning on the whims of the SAFF. :P
