Untitled[edit]

This one is almost ready for a DYK nomination. I've done some work on the article, but the references need some attention, for example, they are currently in italics. --Rosiestep (talk) 18:50, 7 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]

@Ipigott: I thought I'd post this one at DYK but in trying to verify a potential hook about the secret vault, I discovered that this article has copyvio issues from http://lifestyle.inquirer.net, and possibly elsewhere... I did not do a complete audit. I can't give it attention now; can you? --Rosiestep (talk) 14:54, 8 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]
@Rosiestep: I think I've caught the passage in question. I hope there are not more. I'll mention it to the editor.--Ipigott (talk) 20:38, 8 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]
@Ipigott: More. Source, "Outside, on the façade, is the giant bas-relief of Santo Domingo by the Italian sculptor and expatriate Francesco Monti."; article, "The giant bas-relief of Santo Domingo was designed by the Italian sculptor and expatriate Francesco Monti." Source, "... arched windows of the church frame masterful stained-glass designs by Galo Ocampo"; article, "Curved windows of the church frame masterful stained-glass designs by Galo Ocampo". I am also wondering about the content in the "Fifth church (1887)" section which, prior to my c/e, was written in the present tense, though the church was destroyed during WWII. I figured that the editor was having difficulty with verb tense so I made the necessary changes, but now I'm wondering about possible cut/paste from the 1937 source, which I can't access.
I am leaving on vacation so I can't do more with this at this time. WP:COPYVIO might apply and might be helpful if the editor is away. However, I'm reluctent to place the template on the article now, without giving the editor an opportunity to review/address the situation. --Rosiestep (talk) 03:23, 9 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]
@Rosiestep: Sorry to have caused you so much trouble with this one. We have visitors at the moment so I can't devote much more time to it either. Better just to leave it for the time being I think. I hope the editor will reappear. Enjoy your vacatiion!--Ipigott (talk) 07:13, 9 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Biggest in Asia is dubious[edit]

It is dubious that this is one of the biggest churches in Asia considering that Asia includes Jeruselum, Constantinople, Armenia, and a large part of Russia. Maybe largest in East Asia. See List of largest church buildings. Santo Domingo is not on that list. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 120.28.247.148 (talk) 14:35, 15 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]
