Encyclopedic vs. storybook summary?[edit]

The opening section of this article (formerly entitled "The Beginning" and recently renamed "The king's unrest") reads almost like a storybook account of this sutta. Especially given that there are excellent, scholarly, on-line versions of this sutta — including Thanissaro (1997) which is identified in this article — I'm wondering what the encyclopedic benefit is for this level of detail? Abbreviate, if you please :)[edit]

Thank you very much. Yes. The Sutta needs more abbreviation. I suggest (since I no longer quite active) to mention a bit on why the King was feeling unrest (the narration in other commentary mentioned due to his guilty feelings of slaying his own father, evoked when he was so gratified in having a son), thus we will move to the core of the sutta of why the life (not lifestyle) of a samanna will benefit the whole world. Tangentially, I want to thank you for your wonderful contributions to Wikipedia. For instance, I was happy to see your work on the Sigalovada Sutta as well as your terrific effort on the Brahmajala Sutta (which is not even on Access to Insight). Well done! Sadhu! Sadhu!
