Birthday[edit]

Could it be that Fender was born in 1994 and not in 1996? In the media he is often referred to as the "24-year old". --CaroFraTyskland (talk) 14:53, 14 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Britain's first socially distanced gig[edit]

It was announced on the news tonight (Tuesday 11 August 2020) that Sam Fender would be performing Britain's first socially distanced gig, near Newcastle. Could this be mentioned in the article? Vorbee (talk) 17:33, 11 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]

place of birth[edit]

the article says he was born in Newcastle, the info box says Plymouth 217.155.25.156 (talk) 15:25, 16 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Personal Life - Political Views[edit]

The article says he 'has said that the British Left had "alienated their grassroots supporters" by concentrating on identity politics', which isn't really what the BBC article referenced says. It says "The conversation isn't really about working class people anymore, it's about a multitude of things. And they're important things that need to be discussed - the cultural battles that we're fighting, for LGBTQ+ and Black Lives Matter. There's sexism and misogyny in our police forces.

"It's serious stuff but the problem is that it's kind of detracted from a lot of the grassroots people. A lot of really good working class people are being picked up by the right, because they feel like nobody's listening to them."

I'd suggest a rewording saying that Sam Fender is worried that the British working class are being picked up by the right wing because they feel like no one's listening to them. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Tussarit (talkcontribs) 14:41, 20 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]

This section is way too long anyway. He's a pop star, not a politician. 2A00:23C7:8905:CC01:8472:D792:5339:F8C9 (talk) 12:05, 10 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Gear[edit]

@Binksternet: Hi. The table of gear was referenced via an interview with Premier Guitar. --Oroborvs (talk) 21:17, 9 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Great! How much of that would be considered essential, and how much would be WP:INDISCRIMINATE? Our purpose is to summarize sources, not duplicate them. Binksternet (talk) 21:23, 9 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]
@Binksternet: So I should forget about this table. Thank you. --Oroborvs (talk) 21:50, 9 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Irrelevance - early life[edit]

The Early Life section is painfully detailed, including such mind-numbing facts as "he consumed alcoholic beverages daily from 17 and a half to 18 to relieve work fatigue." As this is the case with almost everyone from Newcastle perhaps it should be removed, along with much of the childhood content. 81.97.151.129 (talk) 10:19, 6 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
