Contested deletion[edit]

This article should not be speedily deleted for lack of asserted importance because Saint Jude is an internationally recognised artist that has been featured in various magazines, newspapers, and broadsheets in the UK and abroad. I am in the process of adding sources.

Australian band of the same name.[edit]

Hi, Andresm do you have any sources for the other band? It doesn't seem to have a wikipedia article and if you want to keep that sentence, please find a source for it. If that other band isn't notable enough to have a page, I don't see a reason to keep the statement. AadaamS (talk) 09:13, 10 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, AadaamS, sorry for coming so late to the party! There are tons of sources for the other band if you only care to look. It has a website at https://www.saintjude.com.au/ and a page on Facebook https://www.facebook.com/saintjudeaus/, their albums can be found on Spotify, Apple Music, Amazon, etc. More to the point, that band is active and survived the English act.

As to whether the band has a Wikipedia article or not, that’s neither here nor there and can hardly be the sole qualifier of notability. Wikipedia entries are notoriously geographically biased and entry existence, length and completeness (esp. in popular culture) often has more to do with fan enthusiasm and PR than scholarliness. — All that said, I think the distinction between the two bands is necessary. Google and Youtube don’t (can’t) tell the two apart, while semi-curated services can and do.
