Eric Bacalin

According to a National Geographic program, Eric Bacalin discovered Sagittarius A on 1966. I can't find a source. Would anyone care to try? Thanks Kvsh5 (talk) 15:15, 13 February 2010 (UTC)

Mass is off

Sag A* alone is 4.3 million solar masses. So how can Sag A be only 3.8 million solar masses.

I also support that statement, the mass of Sag A* is estimated to be between 4 and 4.7 solar masses so the source of radio emissions must be higher. Smulumudi (talk) 00:09, 9 June 2011 (UTC)

NuSTAR section is incomprehensible

The NuSTAR section requires a rewrite: it's unclear to me what the actual findings were (in layman's terms), what the role of NuSTAR war (the paragraph talks about observations made by Chandra, not NuSTAR). Also, the units look odd: 10¹⁶ centimeters instead of mm or m? After reading the paper, I still don't understand. Unless an expert can provide a good summary, including the significance of the findings, I suggest removing this section. The same goes for the Dark Matter section. Stefan Bethke (talk) 08:49, 6 December 2014 (UTC)

After locating and reading the reference for Sagittarius a-element knee (see arxiv), I think the paper is talking about an entirely different object. Unless someone steps up and confirms the connection between the Sagittarius galaxy and Sgr A, I suggest to remove all contributions by User:08C ext2013 talk from this article.
