I invite all editors interested in this topic to share their views. Thank you. — Archer1234 (talk) 05:14, 20 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Issue #1. Unexplained removal of maintenance tags and date directives
This edit removed elements from the head section of the article without explanation:

The edit was reverted with the explanation Reverted 2 edits by 2001:448A:3021:2390:2880:174D:EDB0:6443 (talk): Removing maintenance templates without a valid reason or without addressing the underlying issues. However, the edit was repeated again here and here, again without explanation.
Maintenance tags like notability and rough translation should not be removed without a valid reason or without resolving the underlying issue that prompted their inclusion. No explanation was given in any of the edits that removed these.
In addition, the date directive Use dmy dates was also removed without explanation. — Archer1234 (talk) 05:38, 20 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Issue #2. Edits contrary to the Manual of Style
 • Among other things, this edit links Indonesia. Per MOS:OVERLINK: "The names of subjects with which most readers will be at least somewhat familiar. This generally includes major examples of: countries (e.g., Japan/Japanese, Brazil/Brazilian)". Clearly Indonesia is a major country and so should not be linked here.
 • This edit separately links Bandung, West Java, and Indonesia in the infobox. Oddly, the edit moves "Indonesia" from the |country= parameter to the |state= parameter. This might be a language issue by the editor, but |state= in Infobox school is for a sub-national jurisdiction, not for a nation state. But that point aside, besides MOS:OVERLINK, which advises not to link major countries, MOS:GEOLINK advises:

For geographic places specified with the name of the larger territorial unit following a comma, generally do not link the larger unit. For example, avoid Buffalo, New York, United States or Sydney, New South Wales, Australia; instead use Buffalo, New York, United States or Sydney, New South Wales, Australia.

So, it should be Bandung, West Java, Indonesia or Bandung, West Java, Indonesia
 • This edit adds "Art and Creative Industries" to the |name= parameter in the infobox. Besides whether those terms are formal parts of the title (this should be stated and reliably sourced in the lead), it incorrectly uses a link break (<br>), which is contrary to the Manual of Style advice in MOS:NOBR and incorrectly uses (<small>...</small>) tags, which is contrary to advice in MOS:SMALL, which directs removal of 'small' tags from infoboxes.

Issue #3: Poor grammar
This edit changes an admittedly awkward sentence:

The starting point for the founding of KOKAR (Karawitan Conservatory) Bandung, was 1 October 1958, where for the first time the relocation of the Sundanese Department from KOKAR (Karawitan Conservatory) Surakarta (now known as SMK Negeri 8 Surakarta) to Bandung.

and changes it to this, which is not an improvement:

The starting point for the establish of KOKAR (Karawitan Conservatory) Bandung, was 1 October 1958, where for the first time the relocation of the Sundanese Department from KOKAR (Karawitan Conservatory) Surakarta (now known as SMK Negeri 8 Surakarta) to Bandung.

The entire History section needs some serious copyediting to fix what appears to be a rough translation from another language, perhaps using a translation tool and subsequently modified by editors not completely fluent in both English and the native language.

Issue #4: Categories
This edit adds an unnecessary DEFAULTSORT (with a sort key that is inconsistent with other similary named articles for Indonesian schools) and puts the article in Category:Schools in Indonesia. However, the article is already in Category:Schools in Bandung, which is part of Category:Schools in West Java, which is part of Category:Schools in Indonesia. So neither of these changes is constructive.

Issue #5: Unexplained content removal.
 • This edit removes, without explanation, that the school is a performing arts vocational school from the "type" parameter of the infobox.
