Created article[edit]

I created this article. Sounds like a big company, so I'm surprised the article didn't already exist.

The second sentence is a copyvio from their website. Not being a business major, I'm not exactly sure what a general partnership is, so can someone who knows a little more please rewrite it? More info on the history is sorely needed, too.

The list of managed properties is copied from several sections of their site. I do not consider it a copyvio as it is just a list of properties and cities. Maybe it is, or maybe it isn't but it's not appropriate for the article. I vote that it is, as it shows just how much of a reach they have. Wiki links to each of the properties would probably be a good idea (and also to each city and state). Unfortunately, that is going to be a time-consuming project. I wonder if a bot could pick up on this article and search for matching articles to link to. The reverse may be useful as well: on each of the properties' articles, put a note that it is managed by SMG (like I did with the Sullivan Arena article).

The stuff is out there--now, I'll wait for it to be mercilessly edited. :-)

Spectacor Management GroupSMG (property management) — The company itself no longer uses the Spectacor name, much as SAT no longer stands for anything either. Croctotheface 08:50, 21 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

  • Support per my own nomination. :) Croctotheface 08:50, 21 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]
  • Support, despite the need for disambiguation at the new name. =( It looks like they started using SMG alone when they were bought out. Powers T 01:47, 23 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

SMG[edit]

Anyone know what the letters stand for? It would be good to put that in. I couldn't find anything on Google. 66.91.36.8 (talk) 01:18, 24 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]
