What even is this?[edit]

The Browning tilting barrel design is old. What is this "Sig Sauer System"? You're talking about marketing hype here. This is nothing more than a browning tilting-barrel design. It's nothing new. It's nothing novel.

You are incorrect. The elimination of the grooved barrel and slide is a major difference and distinguishes the P220 design (the Sig Sauer System) from the Petter-Browning design that preceded it. It took seven decades to develop this superior design. Practically all new semi-automatic handguns use this design. It's result is superior accuracy, dependability, and most importantly, lower cost of production. Digitallymade (talk) 17:58, 28 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]
What is the "Petter-Browning" system? Have you read the article. I can't make heads nor tails of what it is actually talking about. Please clarify what you mean. You are aware that Petter's work was over a decade AFTER John Browning designed the gun that would become the P35. Adding "Petter" to the end of "Browning" seems HIGHLY unweighted. Saive did a heck of a lot more to develop the system. Petter was copying and altering slightly. I see no significant improvements. It is my belief that your opinions are heavily weighted towards SIG and it is clouding your editing with undue weight. --Winged Brick (talk) 00:30, 4 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]
