January 2008[edit]

SAO Kninska Krajina was declared by the terrorists that killed Croatian people and thus managed to empty the area by the force of fear. Throuht the period 1991-1995 people in this region were killed and disapeared through night. Catholic churches in the region were leveled (in Petrinja the church of St. Lovro, and St. Kate) in attempt to erase any proof of existance of non-Serbs. Houses of Croats were burned, foundations destroyed with explosives with vision of never allowing Croatians to return to their villages and towns. Needless to say the ocupation of the region by the war lords and chetniks was devastating on both people and economy.
