This article is a hoax, the method described of serving noodles is not "salad", it is just the usual method of serving soumen. JoshuSasori (talk) 04:01, 17 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Wrong. The "usual" method of serving sōmen is "冷やしそうめん", which is a distinct preparation from "素麺サラダ".
Before adding the hoax tag, had you considered:
1. A simple web search for "素麺サラダ"?
2. Reading the Japanese-language sōmen article? You can find it here: 素麺? Prburley (talk) 13:29, 17 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]
What an amazing response. The search for 素麺サラダ gives me something which is completely obviously not what is described in this article. Have you considered a simple web search yourself? If this is a genuinely worthy of a wikipedia article, why is there no Japanese-language version of it? This article is a hoax or at best written by a misguided person. JoshuSasori (talk) 13:33, 17 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Anyway, I've removed the hoax tag since it apparently wasn't a hoax. My error. JoshuSasori (talk) 13:42, 17 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Adding a hoax tag and putting an article on track for deletion should be done quite cautiously.
If your search for 素麺サラダ reveals that the article is factually incorrect or can be expanded, consider using those sources and edit the article accordingly. Good luck! Prburley (talk) 14:14, 17 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]
The content of the article is very weak and this probably should just be a redirect to the somen article. I usually only tag articles outside my own specialization, and this is only the third time I have used a hoax tag. I don't intend to solve the problems with this article myself, but it should be deleted. JoshuSasori (talk) 14:30, 17 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]
