Incorrect information for sisters[edit]

The oldest Sister was Patsy or Patricia (b. 1938), who was murdered in 1986. Ruth (b. 1948) was the middle sister and died of cancer in 1999 or 2000. Betsy was the youngest sister (b. 1951) and died in 2011. All are buried in Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Shelby County, TN. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 50.196.158.93 (talk) 00:36, 2 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]

The dates for Patricia are correct in the article, aren't they? And Ruth's year of death is not "1999 or 2000" but 1999, well sourced. According to you, her status as the youngest sister needs to be changed, but we need a reliable source for the dates of her other sisters before changing that. The article claims there were 4 sisters, you mention 3. Any sources for either claim? -- Michael Bednarek (talk) 06:45, 2 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]
“Ruthie, as she was known growing up, was the third sister after Roselyn and before Betsy. My sister and I grew up around the corner from her family in Memphis, TN. We were best friends and she sang at my wedding in 1969. We watched in awe as she rose to stardom as an opera singer, a far cry from her wacky teenage years. We lost touch after Patsy’s death, even though we tried to find her. 2601:3CB:100:77B0:DD22:84BF:897F:ADB1 (talk) 14:42, 9 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]

School[edit]

She attended Messick High School in Memphis, and in her senior year sang the role of Lili in the musical Carnival! — Preceding unsigned comment added by 50.196.158.93 (talk) 00:47, 2 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Ruth's attendance at Messick High School is already mentioned in the article. Any source for her performing in Carnival!? -- Michael Bednarek (talk) 06:45, 2 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Date of Birth[edit]

Conflicting data regarding date of birth. Many sources including Grove and NYT give May 1, 1949. Other articles, including some obituaries give May 1, 1948. According to the Social Security Death Index, it is actually November 5, 1948. I am changing the record and citing the SSDI — Preceding unsigned comment added by RobtCSimon (talkcontribs) 19:59, 6 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]
