It's a Wonderful Life[edit]

I noticed that the movie It's a Wonderful Life came out in 1946 and was nominated for Oscars at that point, but the Certificate for the improvement in snow effects was in the 1948 Oscars. What is the evidence that this was actually for the improvements used in It's a Wonderful Life?
