Speedy[edit]

  1. Subject of article not really notable.
  2. Much of the content is simply attacking R Kelly. Babakathy (talk) 15:47, 25 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Prod[edit]

The page is the absolute truth, What are you suggesting the format be? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 74.131.84.61 (talk) 13:46, 1 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

There are several issues:

  1. What makes him famous, notable, different from the many other music producers?
  2. There are insufficient references: a source is needed to back up each claim in the article. This is especially important when dealing with living people who can sue if the information is wrong.
  3. The article is biased, favouring one point of view.
  4. A lot of the article seems to be about attacking R. Kelly - see wp:coatrack.

The guide here explains a lot of this. By policy you cannot simply remove a tag you disagree with. The issue must be resolved. Finally, it is not allowed to blank a talk page except your own user talk page.Babakathy (talk) 14:12, 1 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Further on notability:

  1. If he is a famous singer, let's see his discography, has he been the subject of a broadcast by a media network? - and other issues per this guide
  2. If he is a famours producer, let's have a list of the famour artists/albums he has produced, per this guide

If RH meets the criteria of either of those, then he is notable for this encyclopedia and we cancel the proposed deletion, and the bias and referencing issues can be looked at. Babakathy (talk) 14:29, 1 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

BLP problems[edit]

The only thing sourced on this page is the Billboard chart. The rest of the sources do not mention the subject in any way except for [1] which is just a long list of quotes by some unnamed person. It is not even close to meeting the reliable sources standard and looks to me like a self-published source. Therefore, I am removing most of the information on this page per WP:BLP until it can be reliably sourced. Wperdue (talk) 13:59, 8 April 2009 (UTC)wperdue[reply]

Notability[edit]

Does the Billboard rating consitute notability per wp:music? Babakathy (talk) 15:16, 8 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I believe it meets Has had a charted single or album on any national music chart. I'd just like to see more relevant and sourced information in this entry. Wperdue (talk) 17:07, 8 April 2009 (UTC)wperdue[reply]
