Possible bias in the article[edit]

This section is to discuss possible bias in the article. Please discuss and come to a consensus, before making further edits, as stipulated by WP:BOLD.

An anonymous editor has tried to rename the "Rufus River massacre" to "Rufus River battle". A google search for the former finds over 3300 results; a search for the latter finds 8. Thus, the attempted renaming seems to be unsupported.

There is lots that could be added to the article though. Note, however, that changes to the article should be supported by reliable sources: see WP:RS.

Agree. While it had some aspects of a battle, it was so one-sided it was a massacre. Massacre is also much more common in reliable sources. Peacemaker67 (click to talk to me) 01:05, 22 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]
I concur that the event is pretty much universally known as the "Rufus River massacre". I think this is the first time I've seen a different name used.Transient-understanding (talk) 20:07, 28 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
