Secular approximation[edit]

Is this the same as the secular approximation in open quantum systems? If so, it should be indicated somewhere. --MaoGo (talk) 16:16, 19 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]

No they are different. I have added this sentence and cited Mäkelä and Möttönen: "The rotating wave approximation is closely related to, but different from, the secular approximation." Jess_Riedel (talk) 11:43, 14 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]
