I expect a citation from this text where it says that in Turkey are living 35,000 Roms. --Olahus (talk) 16:44, 31 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Citation is there (in Turkish), what exactly do you want?--Mttll (talk) 16:44, 2 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, I want to see the citation in Turkish. --Olahus (talk) 19:15, 2 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

There you go:

"Bu düzenlemeyle ortaya çıkan tabloda Türkiye’de yetişkinlerin (18 yaş ve üstündekilerin) etnik kimliklerin dağılımı ... % 0,05 Roman ... şeklindedir." --Mttll (talk) 19:45, 2 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Name[edit]

The Romani people in Turkey call themslef officially Romanlar not Roma, that should be noted, other roma groups also have their own name which is taken into account in the articles.

Usage of English[edit]

This page has horrid English, clearly written by someone from Turkey which also means it might be biased. Hellbat31 (talk) 21:19, 11 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Turkish Roma[edit]

According to this article's lead section, the Romani people in Turkey are a "subgroup of the Turkish Roma." Do the Turkish Roma include people who are not Romani? Jarble (talk) 17:06, 27 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

The Turkish Roma article says The majority of Turkish Roma live in Turkey, but also significant Turkish Roma communities live in Bulgaria, Greece (Western Thrace), North Macedonia, Northern Cyprus, in lesser case Romania (Dobruja) and Kosovo, so, if we go by that, they include people who are not Turkish in the sense of being from Turkey or Turkish citizens. The word "Turkish" is multiply ambiguous. Largoplazo (talk) 02:32, 28 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
