Merge[edit]

Please comment on the merge with Jeanine Nicarico murder case here. Ego White Tray (talk) 03:23, 16 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I appose a merger with the Nicarico article and if a merge is required then the Nicarico murder should be merged with this article. Apart from this article being more comprehensive, tragic as it was, the Nicarico murder was not notable in itself while the conviction of Cruz, Hernandez and Buckley has notoriety. I agree that this should not be merged with the Nicarico case....both need to stand alone, and merging them will dilute the importance of each. Rolando Cruz has had a journey that makes one thankful for the Innocence Project, and it should stand as an example - outside of the actual case, which is tragic in itself, but really has nothing to do with Rolando's years on death row prior to his exoneration, and his work since.
