Death?[edit]

I heard that Iowa police sent a black man across the bridge into Illinois and he ended up falling off to his death, but I could not find the story. Is it true? Crossing the bridge on foot was illegal for safety reasons. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2604:2D80:5210:A900:CBE:548D:ABC4:9EA2 (talk) 19:36, 4 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Requested Rename[edit]

The current situation is that Centennial Bridge is the main article, and Rock Island Centennial Bridge is a redirect to it. I think this is a mistake, as the article should be known by its most specific name to avoid ambiguity. In particular, I have added an article about the Centennial Bridge, Panama, so I think that Centennial Bridge should become a disambiguation page. — Johantheghost 15:19, 5 October 2005 (UTC)[reply]

This article has been renamed as the result of a move request. Go Ahead. Dragons flight 00:11, 15 October 2005 (UTC)[reply]

  • Umm... any interest in moving it to Centennial Bridge (Illinois-Iowa)? Is it generally referred to as the Rock Island Centennial Bridge? Is the official name Centennial Bridge or Rock Island Centennial Bridge? The idea I'm getting at is if it's not called Rock Island Centennial Bridge, the article shouldn't be named that -- there should be a proper disambiguated article page.
