Robin Hood (1991 film)Robin Hood (1991 British film)Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves also came out in 1991, meaning the present title is incomplete disambiguation. The Kevin Costner movie is much better known and is presumably what most people think of when talking about the 1991 film named Robin Hood. Robin Hood (1991 film) should redirect to the dab page. • Oppose. I don't think I've ever heard of Prince of Thieves being referred to simply as "Robin Hood". Usually it's just "Prince of Thieves" (like I unintentionally just did, lol). So I don't believe this is incomplete disambiguation, and the hatnote probably suffices for confused people. Nohomersryan (talk) 01:47, 17 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]
  • Oppose. This is an awkward case, but it is true that only one film named Robin Hood came out in 1991. Korny O'Near (talk) 14:09, 17 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]
  • Comment: A Google Books search for Robin Hood 1991 film returns many more hits for the Kevin Costner movie than this one.--Cúchullain t/c 20:22, 17 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]
  • Support WP:PRECISE ambiguous disambiguation should not be used. And it is called the Kevin Costner Robin Hood film or Morgan Freeman Robin Hood film, or the Robin Hood film with American accents (and made fun of by Men in Tights) Prefer Robin Hood (1991 UK film) as it is shorter -- 70.51.46.39 (talk) 06:25, 19 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]
  • Support. British would be preferred instead of UK. Filpro (talk) 00:44, 22 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]
  • Support The Costner film is by far the best known Robin Hood movie from 1991, including in the UK. As with the Robin Hood television series, the subtleties of the exact film titles are insufficient to distinguish between them. Timrollpickering (talk) 09:10, 25 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]
  • Oppose It's iffy, but I agree that this is not incomplete disambiguation due to the Costner movie's subtitle which is widely used. Taylor Trescott - my talk + my edits 05:30, 26 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]
  • Support. "Robin Hood" is a plausible subtitle for Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves, thus confusion exists and disambiguation seems needed. Steel1943 (talk) 23:25, 30 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]
