Caveat[edit]

Please note that at the time of this writing, this article from the Dictionary of North Carolina Biography used at the UNC "Documenting the American South" website, although it bears the heading "Robert Strange, 1796-1854", is actually the biography of Robert Strange (1823-1877), the son of Robert Strange (1796-1854). 24.36.74.15 (talk) 21:40, 13 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

MEANWHILE, does anyone know if the late Ford exec and Secretary of Defense (under both JFK and LBJ) Robert Strange McNamara was named in honor of EITHER 19th Century figure Robert Strange?
