Whitechapel murders[edit]

It's fun when the text says: "Obvious errors in the Chicago Herald story include the claim there had been 17 murders that took place over a number of years, while the actual number of Ripper victims was just five, with the actual murders occurring in just a few months in the Autumn of 1888".

If you go to the [murders article] of the wikipedia you'll find that they are 10 (the five are just the Canonical Ones). Also, if you take all these 10, they were killed between April 1888 and Feruary 1891, so this spans more than just the "Autumn of 1888".

Of course I don't beleieve all these killings were made by the same man, but you could change the "the actual number of Ripper victims was just five, with the actual murders occurring in just a few months in the Autumn of 1888" sentence onto a more accurate one, saying something about the Canonical Victims, instead of "the actual number of victims", because it's not known how many actually were killed by him, if all of them even were killed by the same man or men, etc.

EDIT: Okay. I am not longer attempting to even understand wikipedia editing. By the time I went back to try to revert the malicious changes, it had already been automatically done. I assume there is system in place to manage malicious edits, by some AI means.
