References[edit]

Could we get a reference on the definition? Does something have to be "kicked up, pushed out, or sprayed out from a tire" before it counts? -AndrewDressel (talk) 00:34, 8 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Okay, so now one of the best references, the one from AAA, contradicts the definition in the lede: "vehicle parts, cargo, or other material that has been unintentionally discharged from vehicles onto the roadway." -AndrewDressel (talk) 01:21, 8 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

The first reference, Henry Latimer (judge) is just a link to a wikipedia article, and that article provides no reference for the claim. -AndrewDressel (talk) 00:14, 8 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

The second reference, Lackawanna Old Road, is similar. -AndrewDressel (talk) 00:16, 8 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Articles and posts on Wikipedia ... should not be used as sources, as this would amount to Wikipedia citing itself, a self-reference.

Yea, I'm working on it. It's still a stub so if you care to help find references too that'd be great. :) -Eekerz (talk) 00:37, 8 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]
I'm just checking on a new article to which links have been inserted into several articles that I watch. My first impression was that the subject was not notable. The new sources are a big improvement. -AndrewDressel (talk) 01:21, 8 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Cool. I added links from various articles to give this article more relevance. I clarified the definitions of "road debris" and "road spray" too so that should allow perhaps unreferenced definitions for now anyway (since I feel they are fairly obvious) but they are related and I don't feel justify having a separate "road spray" article. What do you think? -Eekerz (talk) 01:38, 8 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

environmental consequences[edit]

The article has so far been completely environment-agnostic. Let's just assume this is due to blissful ignorance instead of active denial. Could please more contributors from the environmental WP projects have a closer look into this? -- Kku 14:47, 4 April 2016 (UTC)
