I notice that information on the River Hertford was already included in this sub-section of the Yorkshire Derwent article. Should this article remain or simply be made into a redirect to that section of the Derwent...Jokulhlaup (talk) 16:35, 23 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Watershed[edit]

Just to note in case it might be included at some point that insofar as the river has been described as 'backward-flowing' in that it flows away from the nearest bit of sea, the watershed in places at Cayton Bay is such that rain falling only 100m inland from the high water mark drains for many tens of miles in the opposite direction, before curving back east to reach the sea. The crest of the coastal cliff here is that watershed, possibly unique in England, at least on this scale. cheers Geopersona (talk) 19:58, 9 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]
