Association w/"Richmond View" conflicts with another article here[edit]

The subtitle of this article ("Richmond View") conflicts with the article on East Richmond Heights, California, which claims that that place is "sometimes referred to as Richmond View". One or the other is wrong (unless that term applies to both, in which case these articles should probably be merged). +ILike2BeAnonymous 18:17, 31 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

This reference is wrong. "Richmond View" refers to the nearby CDP, not to any neighborhood within the city of Richmond. This is supported by myriad current real estate advertisements. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 198.144.208.133 (talk) 10:52, 8 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

You are comparing apples and oranges. First, we have two names: Richmond Heights (a neighborhood within the city limits of Richmond), and East Richmond Heights (an adjacent CDP that is outside the city limits of Richmond). But guess what? They are both perched on the same hill and there is no obvious visual break to separate the two areas, which I think could include anything east of Interstate 80 between San Pablo Avenue (Exit 16B) and San Pablo Dam Road (Exit 18). So I think both articles can claim to be referred to as either Richmond View or Mira Vista without being misleading. No merging required, as they describe slightly different features (a neighborhood and a CDP). Highspeed (talk) 17:47, 8 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]
