"E"

I think I may have read or heard somewhere that Richard had inserted the "E" into his professional name without it actually standing for anything on the basis that there was another "Richard Grant" around at the time, or registered with Equity, Or Something. The Space

The link to The Space goes to the wrong entry - it looks like Wikipedia doesn't have an entry currently for The Space Theater in Cape Town, South Africa. Creating a new entry seems worth doing since this article could then be correctly linked, and several other prominent South African actors and directors got their start at The Space. Since it is a BLP, you can take one and upload it. This is general consensus about WP:NFCC #1. More info at WP:MCQ. Did you notice that many actors have no image in their bio? Most notable role

The sentence in the introductory line recalls Grant's most notable role as the Spice World movie; however, Withnail and I is a particularly large cult-esque movie and films along the lines of Gosford Park and many of his voice roles are probably larger, more notable roles, for example the cult caper hudson hawk. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 87.112.65.184 (talk) 20:40, 24 March 2011 (UTC)

Nationality

I think describing Richard as 'English' is a bit of a stretch. As the article elucidates, he is of African origin, a who moved to UK as an adult and is a dual British/Swazi national.

This SHOULD something like “English/Swazi actor” or “Swaziland born London based actor”. Michael Fassbender has lived in England since he was in his early 20s, and he still referred to as an Irish or Irish-German actor. VsanoJ (talk) 15:09, 28 December 2019 (UTC)

We don't call people "English" who are born outside Britain without some very good reason and a verifiable source. The support given above - that his "niche of style is his Englishness" is irrelevant. That's his acting ability at the very least. In any case he should be described as British because that is his citizenship. Richard E Grant refers to himself as English, as do sources like the BBC and others. Grant's citizenship is covered in the infobox, he himself says he is English. Ugly photograph

Does anyone feel that the 2014 image [[File:Richard E Grant 2014.jpg]] is useful and worth including when there are so many other, better, images already in the article? I did remove it but someone took exception and reverted. Deb (talk) 09:31, 21 August 2021 (UTC)
