Waivers from public laws, regulations and high-level policies versus mere technical specifications[edit]
Requests for Waiver are written government or corporate technical documents in the configuration change control sub-process of the configuration management process; (industry standard ANSI/EIA-649 refers). Statutory or regulatory waivers are usually written into a policy/rule/regulation/law.
