Name[edit]

On 8 October 2010 this article was moved from State Archive in Trondheim to Regional State Archives of Trondheim (and previously edited to use that plural name) on the grounds that that is its official name. However, both the corresponding Norwegian article and the official site for the institution call it Statsarkivet i Trondheim, which is singular and translates to The State Archive in Trondheim. What is the source of the claim that its official name should be translated Regional State Archives? I suspect a misunderstanding of the -et, or has there been a recent renaming? • The correct is "Regional State Archives in Trondheim", I sourced it. Regarding the singular/plural form, it's a grammatical thing. Some singular words in Norwegian are plural-looking in English, such as "stairs". Geschichte (talk) 12:32, 21 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]
