Source Reliability[edit]

When I wrote this article, I referred to www.reedoperahouse.com and www.salemhistory.net as well as personal knowledge for the Present Day section. While I was referring to the sites, I noticed that they had conflicting dates for the grand opening. Since I was unable to find any other sources to validate either claim, I figured that the Reed Opera House website would be more reliable than the Salem Oregon Online history website. If anyone is able to uncover the answer, please make the appropriate changes. --Yellow Archer 10:41, 10 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Picture Legality[edit]

I plan on taking a picture of the Reed Opera House soon (hopefully this weekend) to place in the Present Day section, and while I was writing the article I was thinking about using a historical photograph located at www.oregonlink.com, but I am unsure about the legality of using that photograph. If you know the answer to this issue, feel free to let me know. If it's perfectly legal, I'll put it up. If not, I'll see about talking to the Salem Historical Society about using it. I have a feeling that it's legal, though. --Yellow Archer 10:41, 10 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Hinges or Hines?[edit]

Is the spelling the last name of the local celebrity mentioned early in the article Hines or Hinges?? Twisted86 04:28, 25 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

G. W. Rhodes[edit]

Note: Moved this from Talk: G. W. Rhodes

I can't find much on this fellow, but this source mentions a G.W. Rhodes at the Salem Water company. This source about a G.W. Rhodes who died in Flordia in 1919 may or may not be related. Here another source that seems to be about the saem fellow who served as a Confederate soldier [1] ChildofMidnight (talk) 22:16, 5 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I've redirected G. W. Rhodes to this page as with the current sources he was utterly non-notable. If I get a chance to look at Architects of Oregon and find anything useful on him we may be able to recreate the article. Valfontis (talk) 22:53, 13 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Not a peep out of AoO about Rhodes. Valfontis (talk) 16:52, 26 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]
