Stage work[edit]

"He starred as Luther Billis in the Broadway production of South Pacific. He reprised that role in the film adaptation. He was the only cast member to appear in both the stage and movie versions."

Both the South Pacific (film) and Juanita Hall wiki pages indicate that Ms. Hall played Bloody Mary in both, even though her voice was overdubbed. Perhaps it would be better to mention that he is the only cast member to appear in both the Broadway and film versions and retain his own voice in the final cut. Birth Month[edit]

There seems to be some confusion over his month of birth. Currently it says December, and cites the SSDI (Social Security Death Index). The SSDI actually says November. The SSDI could be wrong - the government isn't all-knowing. But the citation should match the fact, so if we are going to keep it as December, we should find a source to cite that says December.

For those who wish to verify, the only place I know of currently to access the SSDI for free is GenealogyBank. You do have to register though. This is a direct link to Herman Walston's record: http://www.genealogybank.com/gbnk/ssdi/doc/ssdi/v1:1131C9D09FE782D0
