Creator is a vanished user, back under a new account, whose former account name suggests he is a member of this quartet. Valereee (talk) 10:56, 31 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
@Valereee I stumbled across this article today while copyediting, and noticed that the COI tag was removed about 2 months ago by an account that had exactly 3 edits, and was blocked as a sockpuppet. However, I was also instructed a few months ago that the COI tag "isn't supposed to be a badge of shame," and should only be applied to articles whose content seems marred by said COI.
I'm torn because the info on the Quartet members is written a bit like a resume, but I'm not sure if that justifies restoring the maintenance tag. Should I just clean up the copy to match encyclopedic standards, or re-add the tag so people know to look out for potential COI editing in the near future? Thanks!
@Chiselinccc, I think you could just clean up the text and style. As you say, the sections on the members is a bit overdone. Valereee (talk) 19:34, 23 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
