Untitled[edit]

Almost every sentence is praising this village, as if to attract tourists. --Chris 09:58, 23 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

That's not a reason for speedy deletion. I've cleaned up the advertising crap. Hopefully, over time, this will become a good article. For now, it's a useful stub (don't know what Ranni is? Just go here!). fuddlemark (fuddle me!) 12:27, 23 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Notable people[edit]

A list of notable people for an article of a geographical area is not encyclopedic. When writing such an article, we have to follow guidelines provided by the contributers of Wikipedia. The guideline to follow in writing Indian district and sub divisions is WP:INDIST. Any list of notable can come in the culture section, which is currently not there for the lack of resources. As of now I have commented it out for inclusion in the future. WP:GNP gives an idea about the notability criteria. Mathew Joy (talk) 12:37, 11 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

– Views of this article nearly doubled upon the release of Elden Ring, indicating a lot of false positive hits. Now that Ranni the Witch exists I think the least we can say is that there is no primary topic for this name, and that the disambiguation should be moved to the primary name. There already exists a way to WP:NATURALly disambiguate this article. ᴢxᴄᴠʙɴᴍ () 06:55, 27 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]

I've merged the stub article at Ranni, Pathanamthitta. Looking at similar articles like Adoor and Mallapally, the taluk article is sufficient to also cover the eponymous village. I'd also support a move to Ranni, Kerala per WP:PLACEDAB. 162 etc. (talk) 16:18, 27 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Okay, I've changed the nomination to reflect that name. ᴢxᴄᴠʙɴᴍ () 17:37, 27 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]
