neutrality and sourcing[edit]

This article is overly long for the subject and is seemingly written by someone with a close relationship to the individual or or the sources are not being properly attributed or references. See: "Auxier was in first grade when Martin Luther King Jr. was assassinated, and the event had a continual impact on him and the region he lived in." Most of the references in the article itself are too Auxier's scholarly work, not media or interpretation of the work. A similar issue exists for the political section.

occasional poetry[edit]

I don't know this author's work, but I wonder whether the article means to say that he has written "occasional poetry" or written poetry once in a while? Cynwolfe (talk) 15:01, 23 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Notability tag[edit]

Removed as he seems to clearly meet WP:PROF (editor of scholarly journal, chair etc.) but if anyone disagrees, please consider AfD. Boleyn (talk) 15:11, 1 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]
