With respect to the fact that I am a fan of Queensryche, this album is my personal favorite from this band. It was recorded while the band was building a international following that was followed by, what by many in the rock world believe to be the best conceptual rock album ever "Operation Mindcrime" and peaked with their "Empires" album. Rage for Order came at a time when the "Hair" bands of the 80's were hot, and Queensryche came out with a polished look and style that was reflective of what others looked like, but no one sounded like. The album failed to produce the breakthrough hit that came later in their career on the "Empires" album named "Silent Lucidity", but was more of a overall effort with no individual song that stood out. Rather the entire album really has a unique sound that hinted at the greater things to come for this band. This was the first album that incorporated keyboards for the band, which were handled by the lead vocalist Geoff Tate. This album also displayed a more mature sound for the band than their earlier efforts. The drum work of Scott Rockenfield is very tight, well timed, with a great supporting sound and beat, without overshadowing the rest of the sound. Eddie Jackson on bass has a crisp clear sound that supports the overall sound. The guitar work of Chris Degarmo and Michael Wilton blends well and highlights the superior vocals fo Goeff Tate. The overall sound of the album is fantastic, and it really displays the capabilities of all of the musicians in the band. Being a vocalist myself, I am a huge fan of Goeff Tate, and I believe that this album demonstrates the full capabilities of his vocal talents at their height. The overall blend and production of the album gives it a polished hard sound. Neeros

Release Date[edit]

Throughout the web, I'm seeing June 20, June 27, July 14 and December 12 of 1986. None of these were a Tuesday. Anyone have an accurate reference for a US release date? The reference link in the wiki body is dead. ( Redrkr (talk) 20:33, 26 June 2016 (UTC) )[reply]

I've found out what happened to the reference link (the image moved to a different folder on the same site) and hope that addresses your issue. --Eddyspeeder (talk) 09:57, 27 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]
