questionable source about "invention" of radio software by the same company who claims to have invented it. more credible sources of radio history needed. linkage to Contemporary_hit_radio needed. --Pitsch (talk) 11:50, 4 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

List of software[edit]

Can we bring back the list of software please as it's a very useful resource...maybe put it in a separate page (list of radio software)? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Andrew Clark (talkcontribs) 19:17, 18 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

This page seems to be focused narrowly on software for operating (commercial/public) broadcast AM/FM stations. Software is used in a large range of applications with radios from the very lowest level RF signal analysis software to "Software Defined Radio" software to deep space communication. I would suggest that this page be renamed to something more narrow such as "broadcast radio station software," else it would be appropriate to add all sots of software that a manager at a broadcast station would have no interest - unless they are into the modulation and redundancy coding of NASA's deep space network.
