Secondary payload[edit]

The page is about the satellite and not the launch vehicle. Is it okay to include secondary satellites that are irrelevant to the page or satellite in question? A generic reader might mistake the secondary satellites as the payload on the satellite.

@Shashpant: Yeah it could be confusing, perhaps call them ride-shares or just remove the subheading and mention them in a paragraph? I figured it is important to mention co-passengers as it is not very common to have them along national security payload.  Ohsin  19:21, 16 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]
@Ohsin: But why is it necessary to add secondary ride share details in the satellite page? It'd be alright had this been PSLV launch page but it becomes irrelevant in satellite page. Shashpant (talk) 13:25, 17 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]
@Shashpant: It is not necessary by any means but sometimes on rideshares one payload can have affect on co-passengers during launch and such information can be relevant especially when primary payload is sensitive one, hence I thought it would be appropriate to mention them with basic details at least given in past we have had incidences such as launching a Chinese cubesat (NUDTSAT) along Cartosat-2E (PSLV-C38) but feel free to remove or reword.  Ohsin  14:14, 17 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]
