Shackleton[edit]

Seem strange that an article on Coastal Command makes not mention of the Avro Shackleton which was the mainstay of the command in the 1950s and 60s. MilborneOne (talk) 13:31, 30 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

You can probably tell that it was to be included in the Cold War op history. Now that I've moved the WWII op history to free space, I can see it being included in the main one now. Dapi89 (talk) 20:52, 4 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

A quick review[edit]

I just had a quick look at this article. I noticed a couple of minor inconsistencies WRT citations. I made a couple of tweaks, but couldn't fix the following:

  • the citations say "Goulter 1995", but the Bibliography has "2005" as the publication date - should be consistent;
  • the citations have "Franklin 2003, p. 103." but there is no Franklin source in the Bibliography;
  • the ISBN for the Hyde work doesn't seem to be correct;
  • the format in the Bibliography is slightly inconsistent. For instance compare the March work to the Terraine work. In the March work the location is presented before the publisher, in the Terraine work the publisher is presented before the location. This should be consistent;
  • two of the citations use the "harvnb" citation link, but most of them don't - this should be consistent, IMO.

Anyway, good work so far. Cheers, AustralianRupert (talk) 05:15, 15 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I wrote this article some months back, now I find someone has nominated - good show! I'll move to correct. Dapi89 (talk) 11:29, 17 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Ultra, ASV, Leigh Light - no mention[edit]

The article makes no mention of the roles played by Enigma decrypts, the centimetric ASV radar or the Leigh Light in the Battle of the Atlantic. I would put something in myself but I am so far from being an expert it might well be laughable. Cannot One Who Knows contribute? Moletrouser (talk) 18:23, 14 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]

CE[edit]

Tidied a few mad commas, altered operations to lower case, altered some pics to run level with the first line of paragraphs. A disappointing lack of realism in the antisoviet section though. Keith-264 (talk) 16:44, 23 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]
