Atari ST version[edit]

Atari ST platform added. Can't find any photos of it, but here is at least one source of info: [1] —Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.106.60.228 (talk) 05:02, 10 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Japanese NEC PC-9801 version[edit]

I added the NEC PC-9801 platform. You can see a pictures of this version here: [2] OmerMor 14:19, 3 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Spielburg[edit]

Spielburg could also possibly be a pun on Spielberg. Also note that a "spiel" in English means a long talk/narration, and I'd be surprised if this was a coincidence. "Burg" literally means "castle", and thus is a suffix found in several German city names, for example Hamburg. "Game town" in German would be "Spieldorf" (game village) or "Spielstadt" (game town or game city). Not that any of this is essential... and I guess in the end only the developers could clear this bit of trivia up. -- Nils Jeppe 11:34, 16 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Well, as the Baron is Stephan von Spielburg, and bears an uncanny resemblance to a certain famous director, I think this was an intentional play on words. --Brendan 16:59, 9 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Of course it was. There a reference to Amblin Entertainment in the alley as well. -- Ex Nihilo

Goofs?[edit]

In a fantasy game with fantasy characters, dryads, talking foxes, magic, etc., it is not "out of place" for a centaur to appear in the game's setting (Spielburg). Centaurs are a staple in fantasy fictional works.

I would argue similarly for the use of/presence of Baba Yaga in Spielburg. She is a QG character that references the Slavic mythological character. There are no rules that she should appear strictly in a Slavic setting in order to be a "correct" reference.

I will not remove the comments from the article now, to allow opportunity for others to comment. -- Ex Nihilo

Dragon fight?[edit]

I never played the EGA version of this game, but if you have a look at this (old and rather nerdy) promo video here: [3] you can see a battle with a dragon that looks like the one seen on the original box art. Was this cut from the VGA version or something? I played through that game twice recently and never fought any dragons. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.106.60.228 (talk) 05:07, 10 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

There is no dragon in the original game, it was saurus that the hero was fighting with in the promo video. Those were running in the forest. --Sapeli (talk) 13:06, 11 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use rationale for Image:Quest for glory 1 VGA.jpg[edit]

Image:Quest for glory 1 VGA.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.
