The food displayed[edit]

is usually not just chestnuts and "dates" (they aren't dates, but a Korea fruit called taechoo, often translated as jujube), but other travel food. My understanding is that this ceremony marks the bride's travel to the groom's family house (shee-jip) and so the food tossed is dried food or nuts, suitable for eating on the road for a journey which in the old days could've taken several days, especially in the more mountainous regions. --Dan (talk) 17:20, 4 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Blacklisted Links Found on the Main Page[edit]

Cyberbot II has detected that page contains external links that have either been globally or locally blacklisted. Links tend to be blacklisted because they have a history of being spammed, or are highly innappropriate for Wikipedia. This, however, doesn't necessarily mean it's spam, or not a good link. If the link is a good link, you may wish to request whitelisting by going to the request page for whitelisting. If you feel the link being caught by the blacklist is a false positive, or no longer needed on the blacklist, you may request the regex be removed or altered at the blacklist request page. If the link is blacklisted globally and you feel the above applies you may request to whitelist it using the before mentioned request page, or request it's removal, or alteration, at the request page on meta. When requesting whitelisting, be sure to supply the link to be whitelisted and wrap the link in nowiki tags. The whitelisting process can take its time so once a request has been filled out, you may set the invisible parameter on the tag to true. Please be aware that the bot will replace removed tags, and will remove misplaced tags regularly.

Below is a list of links that were found on the main page:

Removed blacklisted link and associated reference. As this link is particularly spammish, will investigate further and post findings here. Jaydubya93 (talk) 14:23, 11 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]
This article was created, with horrible badlink included as one of two references forming the basis for the article, by User:Flyingtoaster1337. User:Flyingtoaster1337 is also User:Kimchi.sg User:Resurgent insurgent User:Spinning beachball User:Kavadi carrier User:Awyong Jeffrey Mordecai Salleh. Somewhat shockingly, Kimchi.sg is an administrator with a history of strange account activity, such as blocking and unblocking his/her own accounts: https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Special:Log/block&page=User%3AAwyong+Jeffrey+Mordecai+Salleh Further investigation is required. I am not sure exactly what is going on here so I will not jump to conclusions and urge others reading this not to jump to any, either (at this point just providing all available info in a neutral framework as I do with all blacklink removals).
