Pulau Palawan (?)

Untitled[edit]

Based on the street directories available (both official and unofficial), the island as mentioned in the article and in the photograph is not Pulau Palawan. The one in the article is just an unnamed man-made islet. Pulau Palawan lies further out to sea and is not linked to Sentosa. I believe the photo (right) shows the genuine Pulau Palawan, which lies nearer to Siloso Beach. —Sengkang 02:09, 29 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Is it directly south of Sentosa? I was looking at the locator maps at commons. There is indeed one small island between sentosa and st. johns island and it is unnamed. You think this is the one? --Vsion 02:38, 29 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Hmm ... no. The small island visible on map is Pulau Tekukor, according to my source map; and I can't find Pulau Palawan. --Vsion 02:48, 29 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]
There are several islands south of Sentosa that lie between Sentosa and St John's Island, which include Pulau Tekukor and Pulau Seringat. I've made a search at streetdirectory.com (you can click the link to go directly to Pulau Palawan's location map). Pulau Palawan lies much nearer to Sentosa, and is relatively smaller than those islands. —Sengkang 02:53, 29 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]
That proves it, excellent. It was like finding beans on the map. I guess we can transfer the current content of this article to Sentosa. But, what to do with this article? --Vsion 03:07, 29 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]
I guess we can retain this as a stubby article on this insignificant islet, after the transfer. Similar to Pulau Anak Bukom and Pulau Biola. —Sengkang 03:24, 29 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]
