"In the United States military, "public affairs" is the term used for public relations. A "public affairs officer" (PAO)'s job is to deal with the mass media."

The tone of this sentence probably should be changed. "Deal with the mass media" is a loaded statement. Perhaps "communicate with the mass media about the public affairs of the military" would be a better statement. Chapium 10:01, 5 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

red links[edit]
