Synonymy[edit]

This species is a synonym of some other Mexican Psilocybe species, I forget which. Not a valid taxon, so I wouldn't spend too much effort on this article.

Gaston Guzman died this year, but just before that he said that he thinks this is a valid taxon. I don't think he is correct though.
