Fix the species info box[edit]

Seriously this kind of thing happens to me a lot when I make articles for certain species. Their infoboxes because this.CycoMa (talk) 15:31, 17 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]

@CycoMa: the automatic taxobox system requires a dedicated template for every taxon at a rank above species (and a species article will still need a template for the genus). These templates have not been created for every genus yet. It's fine to create an article without creating the taxonomy template; the article will be put in an error tracking category and somebody will come along soon and fix it. @Plantdrew: yeah I know species boxes aren’t needed but they make things easier.CycoMa (talk) 21:52, 17 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]
@CycoMa:, we definitely want speciesboxes; it is difficult to find articles that lack them, but which should have them. However, in order for the speciesbox to work properly, Template:Taxonomy/Prostoma had to be created, which Elmidae did 19 minutes after you published the article.
