Her wedding is the first recorded meeting of Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip (as Princess Elizabeth and Prince Philip) (stated in numerous biographies). Ah, yes. Well, whilst she *has* post-nominal letters, they're not part of her name, so the BRoy Style guide omits them from the opening paragraph, in favour of listing them later (under Honours). If you feel that this is wrong, please do discuss. Cheers – DBD 14:45, 27 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Unofficial move proposal[edit]

This page should be at Princess Marina of Greece and Denmark because the current title creates inconsistency with other foreign princesses who became British royal duchesses (Princess Frederica Charlotte of Prussia, Princess Victoria of Saxe-Coburg-Saalfeld - another Duchess of Kent, Princess Augusta of Hesse-Cassel, Grand Duchess Maria Alexandrovna of Russia, Princess Louise Margaret of Prussia, Princess Helena of Waldeck and Pyrmont, etc). The Duchess of Kent was Commandant WRNS (equivalent to Rear-Admiral) from 1940 ("No. 34810". The London Gazette. 12 March 1940. p. 1470.). In 1951 the Director WRNS (equivalent to Commodore) was re-titled as Commandant, and the Duchess of Kent was given the title Chief Commandant ("No. 39215". Orphaned references in Princess Marina of Greece and Denmark[edit]

I check pages listed in Category:Pages with incorrect ref formatting to try to fix reference errors. One of the things I do is look for content for orphaned references in wikilinked articles. I have found content for some of Princess Marina of Greece and Denmark's orphans, the problem is that I found more than one version. I can't determine which (if any) is correct for this article, so I am asking for a sentient editor to look it over and copy the correct ref content into this article.
