One of the fundamental differences between the Community of Christ and the Restoration Branches has to do with priesthood, who should be called, how those calls should be handled and what the offices are called. Particularly, the Restoration Branches still have Patriarchs instead of Evangelists. Should a seperate article be written about priesthood in the Restoration Branches or should this one be adapted and renamed to cover RLDS priesthood both within and without the CoC? --BenMcLean 21:49, 1 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I think the restoration branches probably deserve to be covered in their own articles. Otherwise comparisons and contrasts tend to distract from a clear narrative. Whether it belongs in the main article on the restoration branches or a sub-article depends on the length of the materials. Glenn4pr 07:12, 2 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Merge proposal[edit]

There is a move to merge this together with an article on the Mormon priesthood. Interested parties should check out the talk page of Priesthood (Latter Day Saints). Best, A Sniper (talk) 10:56, 21 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]
