Ungummed stamps?[edit]
I'm pretty sure ungummed stamps were the norm in Brazil in the late 80s/early 90s. I recall every post office in Brazil had little jars of rubber cement available to glue stamps onto letters. This was not a temporary or emergency thing, as I recall; I guess it was simply a cost-saving measure.
- Scott catalog doesn't mention gumless stamps, but my personal collection for the period is all used, so can't tell that way. It's possible that the gum was of poor quality, so people got in the habit of supplementing it. Stan 05:31, 24 January 2006 (UTC)
