Nice job whoever got the foreclosure information online so quickly; same day as the news was announced. Unfortunatly, one of my friends is losing his job due to the mall closure.

Added list of tennants/found news about the clock. :([edit]

FIRST, With the mall scheduled to be demolished, I really think more information hould be added. I am currently researching just which stores were in the mall at what times, and would respectfully ask that the powers that be NOT revert on a whim. I am also looking into the possibility of obtaining blueprints/floor plans of the mall, for historical purposes. As a child, I spent a lot of time at this mall and would love to see this article contain more details than it alread does.

The second addition is news of the clock and bell in the center court. So far I have not been able to open the website, but in a web seach on Port Plaza Mall I happened across this:

Port Plaza Mall Clock Port plaza mall clock Clock was sold to a california business owner and was ... the port plaza mall in green bay in the most important part of getting the clock ...

I hope - no, I PRAY - that that site is simply some person's idea of a joke. As soon as I have verified whether or not it is true, I will either remove the addition or (and I hope it is not true) expand upon the addition.

List of past tenants[edit]

This list should not be in the article at all. It's unsourced and indiscriminate, and precedent among other mall articles is that listing anything other than the anchor stores is usually a no-no, unless it's an individually notable tenant presented in prose format (for instance, "The food court opened in 19xx with restaurants A,B,C,D, and E," or "X was the last tenant to close, doing so in 200x," or "Y opened its first Wisconsin location at the mall in 19xx," so long as it's sourced). Washington Commons → Port Plaza Mall — Since the mall used the name Port Plaza Mall from 1977-2001, more people will know it by its original name. And, since the mall is closed/demolished, this would be a more effective name for it. People from Green Bay are more likely to type in Port Plaza Mall instead of Washington Commons.--Krauseaj 00:26, 24 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Possible Additional Information[edit]

This mall had Washington Street cut through it in its last years going through its first floor section, but leaving the 2nd. I've heard that this section of Washington Street existed at one time even after the mall was built. This may be inaccurate. But if so it might be noteworthy, for local historical purposes certainly, to note that a street was cut built over only to be put back over the course of the mall's existence.

Also, didn't the city of Green Bay take on some of the mall's debt or some such matter near its end? But under the Mayor Paul Jadin, the one preceeding Major Jim Schmitt who, while not cited for this, is named in the article near the mall's end. This may be noteworthy since Paul Jadin took a job in the administration of Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker.
