Ths official park website says that Port Aventura is the park is a Universal Parks and Resorts park. Does this mean that the park is actually owened by Universal. http://www.portaventura.es/home.asp

The TV adverts also suggest so.

i've just returned from Portaventura and it's currently branded as 'Universal Mediterranea' there's still alot of Universal markings as well as universal owned cartoon character suits wandering around, the impression is that they've retained the Universal name. i'm not up to changing entries yet but i think it should be known Lazercows 12:25, 2 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

This is the dealy, although I'm too new to Wikipedia to be confident enough to change the page itself. The park is no longer owned by Universal, so pays Universal for the licence to use Universal charecters and themes. This is why it still appears to be a Universal park. Hope this helps.
