Talk:Pornography/External link formatting

Hi, I'm categorizing the website that are critical of pornography and making them more specific. However I'm a little concerned that with the little I know about wiki sub hierarchy layout that I've messed something up. Can someone please advise me on how to correct it if I have? Looked at "help" section for markup and I still can't fix it as good as I would like to. I removed the advocacy external links section because that is what the whole page is, an advocacy for pornography so no need for that particular section. --Nikkicraft 03:37, 23 August 2006 (UTC)

Nikki, I'm sorry, but you shouldn't just arbitrarily remove relevant external links because you think the page has bias problems. If the page does indeed have bias problems, they should be fixed within the page as well, rather than the compensatory removal of links supporting the page's alleged bias.

I am not saying that the list of advocacy sites currently presented in the article is sancrosanct, but there should, without doubt, be external links to high-quality, relevant points that argue for pornography (or against legal restrictions on its availability to adults). --Robert Merkel 04:27, 23 August 2006 (UTC)

Hi, nope you misundertood. I did not remove any links. I just changed the name of the categories because it had originally had anti porngography sites listed under "Advocacy" and I was just saying that is absurd because for one thing the whole page is set up as an Advocacy for pornography. I assure you, I have not removed any link that is propornography, nor will I ever do so so please don't misrepresent what I did. Thanks --Nikkicraft 05:13, 23 August 2006 (UTC)

I'm actually glad that it got reverted. I don't know how to do the subtitles and I felt I had made a mess of the layout and it just got worse the more i tried to fix it. Someone please inform me of how to appropriately make a sub category under criticism of pornography. That's all I need to do. Sorry I messsed that up from not being able to figure it out. Is this what you want?

Or something like this:

Great! I have copied these and will keep them and work on it before I post it. I saw something about a sandbox. Where could i find one of those where I can practice the headers and get them the way I want? Should we now delete this section so it doesn't have to take up space on the discussion page? I've posted what I'm trying to do. But I don't like it as it is. The sub headers under Criticisms should be in bold and lined up to the left margin and it would be great if it could be a little larger. If not then if it's in bold it will look okay i think, as long as it doesn't have the bullets. Is that possible? If not please just revert if if you would not mind doing so for me since I don't know how to revert. --Nikkicraft 07:27, 23 August 2006 (UTC)

I LOVE it! It couldn't be more perfect. I've been struggling with that layout hierarchy for many hours on two different articles. So what should we do with this section on the pornography discussion page? Can it be filed away so other people don't have to wade thru it? Is that proper proceedure? If not then maybe we could at least take out the header section you posted, or somehow comsolidate it all this so it doesn't take up so much room. really, thanks a lot. --Nikkicraft 08:33, 23 August 2006 (UTC)
